The Government of Rajasthan issues four types of Ration Cards to its local citizens. The Ration cards are completely categorized on the basis of the Income state in the society.

  • Below the Poverty Line (BPL Cards): These cards are issued to those whose annual income is less than Rs 10, 000/- which states “Below the Poverty Line”. The card comes in dark pink in colour.
  • Above Poverty Line (APL Cards): These cards are issued to those individuals and families whose annual income is more than Rs 10, 000/- which denotes “Above Poverty Line”. The card comes in either blue or green in colour.
  • Antyodaya Anna Yojana (AAY Cards): These cards are issued to those who belong to the poorest economic sections of the society. These category of people do not have a stable income state. This card comes in yellow in colour.
  • Annapoorna Cards: These are the special Ration cards which is issued to those citizens who do not live with their children, or do not get any pension from the Government.

How to Apply for a Ration Card in Rajasthan – food.raj.nic.in

The citizens of Rajasthan have to submit the application form through the official website of Food and Civil Supplies. The cardholders can also use the offline mode of submission. You will have to submit the application form along with the relevant documents either at the Food and Supplies Department or E-Mitra Center.

The Ration card holders can check the status of the Rajasthan Ration card by visiting the official website. Below are the step by step procedure of check the application status:

  • Go to the official portal of the Rajasthan PDS- food.raj.nic.in
  • A new page is redirected, and a new window is opened.
  • Fill in the form with required details such as- Rajasthan Ration card number, father’s/Mother’s/Spouse’s name, Address, PAN Card Number, Registered Mobile Number, Voter ID Card Number etc.
  • After filling in the details click on the search button.
  • The current status of your application form will be displayed on the screen.
